According tothe Tuesday press statement, this service is powered by Coinbase’s Crypto-as-a-Service (CaaS) infrastructure.

Earlier this year, PNC Private Bankpartnered with Coinbaseto allow clients to hold, buy, and sell Bitcoin directly through PNC’s online banking platform.
Using Coinbase’s secure trading and custody tools, clients do not need separate crypto exchange accounts.
Through PNC Private Bank Online’s Portfolio View, clients can manage Bitcoin in a familiar banking environment.
